Patrick Monahan - The Ladyboys of Iran
Thursday 22nd July 2010
8pm Town Hall Tickets: £12
Following the success of his 2009 national tour, the brilliant Middleborough-Irish-Iranian comic is embarking on a full-scale British tour. This veteran of several sellout Edinburgh Fringe runs was, for a long time, the warm-up man for Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and now, the man himself is gracing the Cheltenham stage. Patrick combines his sharp, hilarious observations with his unique cultural roots and thus, brings his humour to life. Now warming up for The Paul O’Grady Show and often seen on it, other TV credits include The World Stands Up and The Armstrong & Miller Show. Patrick’s support comes from Alan Seaman who performs extracts of his show ‘Shopping and Cooking.’ The List raves about Patrick, stating that ‘he has all the charm of Ed Byrne, the energy of Adam Bloom and wild leaps of imagination that are resonant of Ross Noble.’
